NEW Vegan Nail Polish Alert! FVS Nail Polish – Swatches & Review

Hey guys!!! It’s been a while I know. I now have a new job and my life got busier. But now that I am catching up with my schedule and my daily life, I think I can come back to my blogging dream on my days off. But lets go straight to what brought me here!

I was honored by a new indie, artisan nail polish creator from our neighbor up north (Canada) to be from the first try her new line of indie nail polishes.

I started my passion of painting my nails for Instagram with indie brands. There was a time when I bought indie nail polishes by the pound (that’s the reason my collection is big). So I was so excited when the owner of a new indie line (Anastasia is her name) reached me to allow me to choose 3 of her beautiful creations.

At first it was like torture, because picking up just 3 from her line was so hard! All of her polishes are gorgeous! But I had to decide and here they are my 3 options.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys & girls, introducing FVS Nail Polish:

Pretty, aren’t they? She was so kind to add lots of hearts and a hand written note by herself introducing me her nail polishes. One thing indie makers have, especially nail polish creators, is that they care a lot about the way they create their products, especially the ingredients and materials they use to make their babies (that’s how they see the result of their hard work), and they are always pursuing to improve both service and merchandise. Anastasia is no exception: she did so great with hers!

I’m sharing now the mandatory individual pic of them, showing the right side of the bottle, so the colors can be appreciated. Lets start with Lust:

LustPurple glitter by FVS Nail Polish.

Lust is a nice purple glitter. It is really fully packed with tiny micro glitter that you don’t need sponging to get the max out of it on your nails. It spreads incredibly good and covers your nail at full with just one coat.

I also have another shot of this one (it is my favorite from the trio, as you can see), the glittery goodness can be seen at its full glory:

(Not a macro but hey, it is a good “close enough”…) Isn’t it cute???

Here’s how it looks on my nails (with my discolored fingers altogether):

Lust, shown in 2 coats. Star charms can be bought here (use code MINIG10 at checkout for a 10% discount on these charms).

Next up is Thin Ice, a white pearl that goes opaque with 2 thin coats:

I was craving a white pearl for my nails from so long, but I could not find one in all the stores I looked into. Well, I found one from a mainstream brand, but its formula is so tricky, it gets gooey really fast while you’re applying it. No bueno. Thin Ice is nothing like that. Muy bueno!

Let me show you a simple way to decorate your nails using this gorgeous as base. Excuse my old lady, wrinkled skin (winter is my skin’s worst enemy):

Thin Ice. Rhinestones can be bought here (use code MINIG10 at checkout for a 10% discount on these rhinestones)

This color is perfect to wear for a wedding or any special party with or without any decor on it. If you want to do something like I did in the picture above, just place some chunky glitter from your favorite silver glittery polish using a toothpick, apply top coat, add some rhinestones on top (with nail glue, of course) and voila! Fancy-like, party ready nails in no time!

And finally, we have Serene, a lilac iridescent polish that goes opaque in just 2 coats. I was pretty impressed with this one. It looks very sheer in the bottle, but it covers the nails so beautifully without thickening like some sheer formulas from several mainstream brands:

Serene, shown in 2 coats paired with Lust, both by FVS Nail Polish.

To make the lines with Lust, I used nail tape as guide and applied two coats of the glitter on the space left in the center, using just the brush that comes in the bottle.

FVS Nail Polishes has a line of 36 gorgeous nail polishes (see why I said it was so hard to choose just 3?). The complete collection has the following properties:

  • 5 Free (this means they are free of Toluene, Formaldehyde, Camphor, Formaldehyde Resin and Dibutyl Phthalate).
  • 100% Vegan and Cruelty Free (so for my fellow vegan bloggers and vegan beauty enthusiasts, you know what nail polish you must try now!).
  • Materials are FDA approved for cosmetic use.
  • Consistent formula that applies smoothly on your nails and it is tough to get gooey.
  • Brush with wide bristles which purpose is to spread the nail polish evenly and easy that avoids mess and dirty cuticles.

Best of all, FVS Nail Polishes makes custom orders. That means you can create the nail polish of your dreams and they will work with you to make it real! Or if you want to give unique party favors, this is a good option to count with (they offer unique discounts for wedding related orders). Just contact them and let them know your needs.

You can visit FVS Nail polish shop anytime here. They ship internationally and their costs are very reasonable.

Which of the 3 I showed you loved the most? How would you rock it? Alone or with some bling-bling?  BTW would you like me to do a post about what indie brand means? Tell me everything in the comments!
